The 7 Items I Used to Create a Festive Front Door Moment

Looking at ALL our neighborhood outdoor decorations is one of my absolute favorite things about this time of year. They’re gorgeous to look at and I love the fact that we’re decorating for our communities to enjoy. While ours doesn’t include a laser light show, I’m super happy with the way our front door holiday decor design came to life this year.

It’s also worth noting that you don’t need a house or a yard to get into the spirit of things. Simply focusing on the front door makes a big festive statement, one that I really love to see in apartments, schools, or any place neighbors or community members walk by. A few well-placed holiday greens, some sparkling lights, and a beautiful wreath are all you need to make a big  impact.

Here are the products I used for my front door holiday decor display. What I love about sourcing holiday decor from Terrain is that it’s classic and high-quality (meaning it will stay out of the landfill for decades to come!) AND you can style things differently year after year.

01. STARGAZER JINGLE BELL TWINE LIGHTS

I love the sound this garland makes. Plus, adding twinkling lights to the gorgeous brass garland makes such a beautiful addition to a number of different applications for your holiday setup.

02. FAUX CEDAR GARLAND, EVERGREEN

This is my favorite garland to use when you want something super green! It pops against our black doors and was super easy to style. It’s high-quality as well, with no shedding!

03. FAUX CEDAR WREATH

I went with matching wreaths for a cohesive look. Other wreaths I tried blended into our dark door. These wreaths look amazing!

04. AGED IRON BOW

Last year, this was our tree topper. I’m obsessed with how it looks used as a focal point for our front door. Plus, it hides the nail where the two ends of each garland are hooked.

05. STARGAZER LIGHTORB, LARGE AND SMALL

I used two of these lights on either side of our planters. These throw so much light and have a battery pack that can be set to a timer. They look so great in the snow, and I love how it’s a totally different way to bring twinkly lights into our front stoop without having to hang anything.

06. SLIM BRASS + GLASS LANTERN

I found our lanterns at a craft store and paired them with outdoor LED candles. I love how it ties in with the Jingle Bell Stargazers and bow accents. They really pop from the street.

07. DRIED SLICED ORANGES

This year, I hung some of these from the center of the wreaths instead of bows. I LOVE how it turned out.
